Just a short boat ride across the Golfo Dulce are some very sweet locations. They are boat accessible only - there no roads at all. If this sounds like a real get-a-way to you then head over. There are plenty of small boats you can charter, very reasonably, to get you there. Rugged and wild hiking on some nicely maintained trails and lots of water activities will keep you very busy or just relax in a hammock and read. If you want to head north of Puerto Jimenez towards Dos Brazos, there is a lot to see and do in that direction too. The best birding watching is up the Rio Tigre. There is also a beautiful waterfall with a nice cool pool below to dip in. or try your hand at panning for gold- usually you’ll come up with gold flecks! Look carefully at each listing as some offer pools, beachfront, rainforest views, nearby waterfall & other attractions & amenities.
